Welcome to the voice studio where curiosity leads the way, voices grow with confidence, and the joy of making music is always at the heart of the journey.

Where functional training meets artistic nourishment of the soul.

The joy that inspires ZJM Vocal Studio.

There are few things in life that ask us to be as present as singing. Every breath, every phrase, every silence reminds us that we are alive, connected, and capable of creating beauty together.

That is why I have dedicated my life to it.

Singing is one of the greatest joys of my life. It has carried me through seasons of celebration and seasons of uncertainty. It has taught me to listen more deeply, to embrace vulnerability, and to experience the profound connection that happens when people create something beautiful together. Long before singing became my profession, it became the place where I felt most fully myself.

That feeling has never left me.

Every day I have the privilege of witnessing what happens when someone discovers the freedom of their own voice. Sometimes it begins with a single note sung without fear. Sometimes it unfolds over months of patient work. Sometimes it appears in the middle of a rehearsal. In those moments, thought of technique disappears, intuition takes over, and what remains is joy.

Voice science, healthy technique, and crossover training are the vehicles. Joy is the destination.

I believe the purpose of teaching is not simply to create stronger singers, but to cultivate more curious artists, more generous collaborators, and more fully human people. Technique matters because it gives us freedom. Knowledge matters because it creates confidence. Both exist in service of something much greater: authentic expression, meaningful connection, and the lifelong joy of making music.

Whether I am teaching in a university classroom, working with a singer in a private lesson, collaborating in a rehearsal space, or mentoring fellow teachers, my hope is always the same, to invite others into the same joy that singing has given me. If someone leaves with a healthier voice, I am grateful. If they leave with a deeper love of music, a renewed sense of wonder, and a greater trust in themselves, then I know we have created something that will last far beyond the final note.

Because singing is more than an art form. It is one of the ways we learn to be present, to belong, and to celebrate what it means to be alive.
